Families with children, ages 2 -10 are invited to participate in the Apalachicola Bunny Hop Bingo. The event will take place March 15 – 30, 2021 in Apalachicola’s Historic District. This is an alternative to our community’s traditional Easter Egg hunt, which will return in 2022 to The Orman House/Chapman Botanical Garden. The bunny hop offers a no-contact COVID-safe way for children to play and explore this Spring season.
To get started, stop by the Apalachicola Margaret Key Library to pick up a Bunny Hop Bingo Card. The library is located at 80 12th Street and is open Monday thru Friday 10 AM – 5 PM and Noon to 5 PM on Sunday.
This card will contain 25 squares representing locations of businesses, churches, and attractions within the Apalachicola Historic District. When you visit the Bunny Stop location, answer the question on the reverse side of the card that is specific to that square and then move on to the next square. Complete a row of questions to win a chance for a Spring Basket, or the entire card to win the chance for a Razor scooter.
Every child who returns a Bingo card will receive a gift bag filled with a book, treats, and prizes – plus be entered into a drawing for additional prizes… All cards are to be returned to the library no later than 3:30 PM on Tuesday, March 30th.
The Easter Bunny will be hopping by the library at 3:45 with some candy eggs for the kids and will draw Bingo Cards at 4:00 PM for baskets and scooters. You do not have to be present to win, but we hope to see you there as we celebrate Spring in Historic Apalachicola…
