The Scipio Creek Boat Basin is located at the north end of Market Street in downtown Apalachicola. Locally known as the Mill Pond, it is the site of a former saw mill where lumber was floated from upriver and milled. It is currently a commercial fishing marina and park and is frequently photographed. The pavillion is the site of the Apalachicola Farmers Market, which offers local seafood, fresh produce, herbs, honey, homemade breads and pies, along with other regional specialties on the second and fourth Saturdays of each month.
