We are charged a 2.9% + $.30 fee for each successful credit card transaction by our credit card processing company. This fee, along with an additional 1% fee to help support the web development, hosting fees, updates, and maintenance of ShopApalachicola.com, will be passed along to the customer. No fees will be deducted from the value of the gift certificate (i.e., when someone purchases a $50 gift certificate, the business owner will be paid for the full $50). Redemption of the gift certificate and refunds in the event of permanent business closure are the full responsibility of the business owner. Apalachicola Main Street accepts no liability for customer refunds. Under Florida statute, gift certificates may not have an expiration date and their value may not decrease due to after-purchase fees. Due to the Coronavirus outbreak, many businesses are temporarily closed or are operating with reduced hours and services. There may be a delay in the customer’s ability to utilize the gift certificate until businesses return to normal operations. We recommend that you contact the business directly to determine their current operating hours and services available.
