If you just can’t wait for July 4th, join the thousands of people who come from near and far to celebrate our Independence, a little ahead of everyone else in America, on Independence Eve! Riverfront Park, on Water Street in downtown Apalachicola, is the place to be! This fantastic event culminates in a stunning fireworks display over the Apalachicola River.

Our Independence Eve Celebration was named one of the Top 12 Independence Events in Florida by the digital travel magazine Trips to Discover! We are honored to hold this distinction.

Live Music, Food Trucks & Fun for the Whole Family

Enjoy great food, a parade, free ice cream, the veteran’s tribute, art activities and bouncy houses for the kids, and more. We’re excited to announce that this year’s featured entertainment will be the Bo Spring Band. Admission is free, and lawn chairs and picnic blankets are welcome. Enjoy delicious fare from a variety of local and regional vendors in our food truck court.

Every year we hear people say that no one celebrates our Independence like Apalachicola. And this year is going to be bigger and better than ever. Here’s the scoop:

5:00: Everything starts! Awesome Food Trucks, Live Music, and Kids’ Activities!

6:30: The Red, White and Blue Parade to show our patriotic colors, followed by the Free Ice Cream Social!

7:00: Our Featured Entertainment takes the stage. The Bo Spring Band will be back by popular demand!

After that there’s the Veteran’s Tribute and a stirring performance of our National Anthem followed by our MOST SPECTACULAR FIREWORKS DISPLAY EVER set off from a barge on the river. You don’t want to miss it!
